Information Security Technology Program

Information/IT security has become very important as computer networks, the internet, and package software become widely available. Today, however, many companies and institutions still fail to take adequate and necessary measures regarding IT security. As a result, many companies, including many major national/international institutions, are still under serious threat. While obligations arising from laws and regulations are not sufficient in Turkey, it is important to at least take necessary measures to best protect corporate and personal information.

Information security is vital because institutions are mostly dependent on information, technology and systems, and the need for information assets to be protected from harm comes from this. As evidenced here, information security also supports business objectives. Therefore, the work that needs to be done on information security and the measures that need to be taken should be high priority. It is also more clearly understandable that its priority should be high given that information security is an element of corporate governance and is closely related to elements such as information technology security, physical security, risk management, business continuity and compliance with laws and regulations, thereby supporting various obligations to employees, partners, customers and society.

The main objective of the IT Security Technology Programme is to train qualified and equipped professional people who are in need of companies operating in all fields, including information technologies, information/IT security, computer programming.
